Council Update (October)

Happy fall from your Congregation Council. Can you believe we are already planning for Advent? We have so many things going on. Keep watch on the monthly and weekly STAR announcements. What a wonderful time to be part of the Epiphany family!

On September 8-9, Epiphany joined the ELCA in a service event, “God’s Work, Our Hands”. We had many volunteers to participate in activities to serve and love our neighbors. This was our first time to participate, and we look forward to participating every year. Of course, we will not limit our service to just this one day, but it was wonderful to have a weekend to focus on it. With the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, our church will have more opportunities to serve and love our neighbors.

October is the month that we elect new congregation council members. Thank you to all of the nominees who have agreed to be on the ballot. We are very excited that we have so many people who want to serve our congregation in this way. Please remember that we have committees and ministry teams that can also use you! Ask a council member, and we will point you to the right person. The actual election by the congregation will take place on Sunday, October 21st.

We thank you for your continued support. Please don’t hesitate to contact one of the council members with comments, concerns or suggestions.

Blessings,

Epiphany Congregation Council
